Where do the tours depart? Tours depart from the Stromness ferry terminal, the Palace Road bus stop (at the side entrance to St. Magnus Cathedral) in Kirkwall and other locations by prior arrangement.
How many guests will be on tour with me? You will tour with a small group of up to 16 like-minded travellers.
What is included in the price? Transport in our luxury mini coach with panoramic windows, accredited professional Orkney driver-guide who provides onboard commentary and personally guides you through the sites (except Maeshowe - Historic Scotland custodian conducts your guided tour), and VAT. Site admissions, lunch, and ferry sailings can be included at an additional charge.
Do I have to pay a single supplement for your tour? No, you will not have to pay a single supplement and there is no minimum number of guests required for the tour to proceed.

Do you stop for lunch? Yes, we make a stop for lunch at a restaurant or café where guests may sample a Taste of Orkney. Exception: There will not be a lunch stop on Saturday's Neolithic to 20th Century tour.
Can I take a day trip to Orkney? Yes, you certainly can. Our Treasures of Orkney Day Trip is available Monday and Friday year-round.

What type of vehicles do you use? Daily tours are conducted in our new 16-seat luxury mini coach with panoramic windows. For a private or group tour, you may choose from our luxury mini coach, our 8-seat executive touring vehicle with panoramic windows or a 51-seat climate-controlled executive coach.
Do you offer private tours? Yes, we offer private or special interest adventures with custom designed itineraries. Please contact us for your no-obligation proposal.
Do you provide group tours? Yes, we provide tours for groups of all sizes. If you have assembled your group of travellers, we would be happy to make all arrangements for your stay in Orkney and/or Shetland, from a simple day tour to a fully inclusive holiday.

Can my pet come on tour? No, pets are not permitted on tour. Exceptions will be made for disability assistance dogs.
Is smoking permitted? No, smoking is not permitted on our tours, including on board our vehicles and during the guided visit at each site. We do, however, make frequent comfort stops throughout the day which should provide opportunities to smoke.
When should I make my travel arrangements to Orkney? We strongly recommend that you do not commit to any travel arrangements before receiving our confirmation that tour booking has been completed. |
