Immerse yourself in local culture, discover Orcadian creativity at its source, and enjoy the island hospitality for which Orkney is renowned.  Tour highlights include visits to a traditional 18th century farmstead and local artisan studios (pottery, jewellery, Orkney Chairs, painting, and others).  Complete your experience with a delicious Taste of Orkney luncheon followed by a tour of Highland Park Distillery, the northernmost Scotch whisky distillery in the world.

Kirkwall Sightseeing
Duration:  4 hours approx. (morning or afternoon)
Take in the sights and sounds of Orkney’s capital, including the magnificent St. Magnus Cathedral, Earl’s & Bishop’s Palaces, Tankerness House Museum and Gardens, and Highland Park Whisky Distillery. 

Natural Harbour of Scapa Flow
Duration:  6 hours approx
View magnificent panoramas as you travel along historic Scapa Flow and across the first of the Churchill Barriers to the inspiring Italian Chapel on the Island of Lambholm.  Then, cruise across Scapa Flow to the Lyness Naval Base & Interpretation Centre on the Island of Hoy.  During the voyage, enjoy spectacular live images of the German High Seas Fleet scuttled in World War I and marine life beneath the surface, through a remote operated submersible.  Don’t forget your binoculars as you will have the opportunity to spot seabirds and seals during this unique excursion.  Available with specialist guide (historian). 

Neolithic Heartland

South Isles Splendour

Viking Saga Trail

Wild Orkney

Duration:  7 hours approx.
Encounter amazing flora and fauna during this exploration of the Orkney Mainland’s various wildlife habitats, including maritime heath, cliffs & beaches, meadows & grassland, lochs & reedbeds, and moorland.  We will be on the lookout for seasonal wildflowers and curious seals as well as puffins, hen harriers, short-eared owls, red-throated divers, and much more.  Please note:  This excursion is only available from mid-May to the end of July.  Available with specialist guide (naturalist).
